It's not about me

The cross of Jesus Christ was made valid in my life in July of 1972,one year after I graduated from a small high school in Maine. There have been many life experiences since then but isn't that true of all of us so I won't subject anyone to that. I suppose as I begin this blogging adventure that some of my stories will leak out. We'll see as time goes by.

Monday,Monday

Well, the weekend has come and gone. We ratified our church constitution on Saturday night. It was a very special and historic time. The church is less than 3 years old. Twelve hours after the unanimous decision to say yes to what we feel is God's leading we met for our regular Sunday morning gathering. Backlash from the evil one was quite evident. Most people sat through and occasionally stood through the entire time in an almost zombie state. We should have expected it but I don't think anyone did.I think everyone was caught off guard. It's times like these where we should stop the normal order of the service and the prayer warriors rise up and prophecy against that spirit.Right then and there. Why continue on in the state we are in? Bind the strongman.Speak the authority of Jesus Christ into the situation. Get the people speaking their own release and speaking the release for one another.Sing an aggressive prophetic, declaring song. And sing it with a force. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but by God we do wrestle. If we choose not to wrestle then we choose defeat. There is no grey here. The enemy has held this city ,this region, for hundreds of years. These things don't come out but by prayer( and fasting) When God tells His people to love Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength it's not for His benifit it's for ours. The enemies commitment to distroy seems to be greater at this time than God's peoples commitment to fight back. We are so accustomed to responding in the flesh. We want to "punch the enemy" Hit the enemy. We get all angry at the evil one and get all distracted by the lies that he voices to our hearts and minds. keyword: distracted ! That's his M.O. To keep our focus on anything but our God. I must say he did a good job yesterday. I had a difficult time just staying awake. We need to take action during those times but we find ourselves in a difficult position due in part to the diversity our fellowship. We have many who have just come out of a differant denomination and even most Baptists don't embrace the truth with regards to spiritual warfare. It's too bad. We had missionaries yesterday who shared their vision with us. There was just an incredible heaviness and it even came into the second service. Our pastor did jump in during the second service and voiced somethings and exorted the people to worship with all their heart. Something began to break. We just didn't take it far enough. I was encouraged by the shepherd jumping in to at least rattle a few things.Line upon line. Here a little there a little. We continue to ask for the eyes of our heart to be enlightened. We need to see in the spirit. Not a devil focus, but a God focus that enables us to see with HIS eyes, what the enemy is doing to to us or trying to do to us. So it was an exciting weekend and a weekend of battle. Looking forward to tomorrow morning prayer time. We're going after this thing. Like David said to Goliath " I come in the name of Lord of hosts" In HIS name we come.

Wow ! I"m a blogger !

Well what do ya know.......I'm a blogger !
I never intended to become one, a blogger that is. I'm not quite sure yet about putting my thoughts out there for the world to see but I had no choice. I know a family who now live in Germany. They are missionaries. Bringing light to a dark place. They have a blog site. It's beautiful, but the only way to leave a comment is to be a fellow blogger. God has really put them in my heart. I must communicate with them. Encourage them. So here goes.
